So, I have a lot to say, so I’m going to pull a John Green and bring you this post in FOUR PARTS!

PART ONE, TELEVISION! Now, I’m not a big television watcher. Most of the shows I love have long since been canceled: Gilmore Girls, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Boy Meets World, Are You Afraid of the Dark, etc. But I love House and although I’m still adjusting to the new team, and trying to ignore my hatred for 13, I’m still excited for the season premiere. It’s gotten a lot of rave reviews so far, so I’m excited.

GOD I love Hugh Laurie. And Robert Sean Leonard.

And OMG GLEE. I’ve fallen in love with Glee. I just love its blatant, in-your-face satire, and Lea Michele fills me with happiness. She’s so adorable and her character is so hilarious and I just want to hug her really hard. I’m so excited for it. I need something else to listen to and sing along to.. I’ve listened to their version of “Don’t Stop Believin’” about eighty million times and I think the people I work with are tired of hearing it.

PART TWO, KATE WINSLET! So, my two friends’ mom is a flight attendant. A couple of weeks ago Kate Winslet, her husband, and her children were on my friends’ mom’s flight, and she got to talk to her a bit and get her autograph for my friend. She said Kate was really nice and she admitted to fangirling her a little bit, and Kate just assured her the entire time she was a normal person. I had to share this because I squeed while she told me this. I adore Kate Winslet.

PART THREE, MY SONGS! So, I’ve thought about this, and here are my responses…

“The Best Day” by Taylor Swift. This song reminds me quite a lot of my dad and I and our relationship. A lot of the events in the song have happened to me. There really are only a few lyrics here and there that I don’t relate to. I love this song and I sometimes tear up when I hear it.

“Gay Boyfriend” by The Hazzards because this song is hilarious and I can totally see something like this happening to me.

“I Can Do Better Than That” from The Last Five Years because I share sort of the same attitude as Kathy. Uh, just change the part about Tom Cruise because Tom Cruise is creepy. I’m really determined to make the most of my life and wont settle for living where I currently am for the rest of my life while working a job I despise.

“Imagine” by the Beatles because I feel the same way as Lennon in this song.

“This Isn’t Hogwarts by”, of course, Hank Green. Being a gigantic Harry Potter nerd has sort of defined my life, so I needed a wrock song, and this is one of my favorite Harry Potter-related songs. I share Hank’s feelings: I also think the public school system is getting poorer in quality and, although I was a nerd in school, I was of the variety that really didn’t like school because I found most of it unfair and uninspiring. I wish I would have received my Hogwarts letter.

PART FOUR, RESPONDING TO YA’LL!

Rachel, I wouldn’t worry about being “let go” from your job. I think you’ll be all right. :) I don’t know how it is over there, but they’re not allowed to fire anyone over here for something like that — they can just give you a warning. And I hope you get on your field hockey team. :)

Samantha, I really want a class that I can watch Across the Universe in. I’m quite jealous of your classes — I want to be in school so badly right now, I’d kill to be able to write ridiculous papers if it meant getting out of retail. I can’t wait to do work study when I’m in school instead. Oh, and my mom has gone on a couple of Carnival cruises and she absolutely loved it!

Ashley, I’m jealous of your classes as well. Your professor’s comment about the acting in A Midsummer Night’s Dream made me LOL. I took an acting class that centered around Shakespeare and just felt so odd and unnatural whenever I had to do a monologue. Your philosophy class sounds so intriguing as well; I’d love to discuss all of that stuff. I love discussing subjects that have no real answer; such is why I hate math so much.

Sarah, I want to watch Doctor Who as well but would need to go about it in a manner that is free and wouldn’t require me to download anything. I’m quite curious about it and would like to give it a go, but I’d need to find it somewhere in an uploaded video-type format because my computer is a loser and doesn’t tolerate much work. And I hope things with your co-worker have gotten better. I’m not gonna lie, I hate retail dress codes and think it’s crap that they want us to dress like we’re on Wall Street when we get paid a hair above minimum wage. Especially when we’re supposed to be running around like maniacs while wearing uncomfortable clothes. I’ve toed around following dress codes to a “T” countless times. So I wouldn’t care that she broke the rules a bit in that regard. BUT, the “how do I know if it doesn’t have a tag?” comment made me go LOLWUT?

And I’m sorry about your uncle, love. :( I hope you and your family are coping well. <3

That’s all for this week. Sorry this is coming so late — I worked late today and was exhausted before I went in. I’ll see you all next week!
